Emily did great at the Children's Christmas program tonight. She is really coming out of her shell.

Emily received her 3rd grade bible at church today. She is turning into a beautiful young lady and this marks another milestone in her journey of faith.

Emily and Elise are so pumped. They won an iPad Mini today at school.

David went to Emily's school to have lunch with her. She was surprised. They recognized all 3rd grade students who received an award for showing responsibility and she was one of them, so we got to sit at a special table.

Emily started 3rd grade today. Emily enjoyed her first day back but when I asked her how her day went she just said "good".

Emily went to the doctor today for a wellness check and shots. She is in the 22nd percentile for height (48.75 inches) and 17th for weight, weighing in at 49lbs.

Today was Emily's last day of school as a 2nd grader.

Emily had a great 8th birthday today. We spent most of the day at the zoo. In the spirit of the Indy 500 race, we watched the Disney/Pixar movie "Cars" before dinner.
