I'm so proud of Emily today after watching her receive two awards at school. She received a Perfect Attendance award which came with a free Fazoli's meal prize. The other was a Character Trait award for demonstrating all of the school's character traits throughout the year, which include Responsibility, Respect, Compassion, Integrity, Perseverance, Acceptance, and Citizenship.

I'm so proud of Emily today. She had track and field day at school. I learned that she is a fast runner. She came in 3rd for the 1st grade girls even though she started late from not paying attention. Then in the team relay they came in 1st even though one girl dropped the baton. In a final run Emily came in first out of all 1st grade girls.

Emily went to the orthodontist today and got her appliance removed.

Emily had her mouth brace taken off today. She is loving all the chewy candy she can eat. Popcorn and nuts are also on the frequent eating list now.

Emily participated in Jump Rope for Heart in gym class today.

Enjoyed seeing Emily's first school performance. The 1st graders did a silly Old MacDonald Had a Farm program and Emily played the part of a cute chick. She had a lot of fun and is wanting a speaking part next time. We could not be more proud.
