October 11, 2005
Emily tried some green beans today. At first she didn't seem to care too much for green beans, but now she likes them mixed with a little milk and rice.

Emily tried apples for the first time. She absolutely loves apples! DeAnne makes all of the baby food herself, so we know Emily is eating good food.

Today, Emily tried banannas for the first time and didn't like it. She continues to eat rice cereal and oatmeal cereal in the evening.

Emily is now sleeping in her crib in her own room. DeAnne was sad that her baby girl is growing up so fast.

Emily visited the doctor today and now weighs 14 lbs 0 oz. She did really good for her two shots and only cried for a few seconds. Mom and Dad are very proud of her.

Emily rolled over for the first time today!

Emily travels to Miami, Florida to visit with family. She met her great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and others for the first time. Emily learned that ocean water is very salty. She likes the pool better.

Emily went to the Indiana State Fair for the first time. She did really good, despite all of the walking, eating, people, and the marching band that kept following us around.

Emily was baptized today at John Knox Presbyterian Church. The service was absolutely packed and we had to keep bringing in more chairs... that has never happened before. Emily is starting to realize that she has a very big family.

August 4, 2005
Another visit to the doctor. Emily now weighs 11 lbs 9.5 oz and has a height of 23 inches. Emily got another shot and yes... she cried. She's beginning to strongly dislike the doctor.
