Nice hot cross country run this morning. Emily came in 16th for JV. I am ready for seasonal temps to return and these summer temps to leave.

Emily had another great run today. She shaved almost 2 minutes off her time from running the same course last year. So proud to watch her growth in running.

First cross country meet of the season is in the books. Emily did great! She had 2 little brothers cheering for her along the way. Elias couldn't wait to hug her.

Back to school night for Emily. She did great and seems to be handling this year better than last. Still nervous, but super excited because she has the same math, gym, and orchestra teacher.

Emily went in for her 12 year well check. She is doing great. She is 57.75 inches tall (26th percentile), 73 lbs (11th percentile), with a BMI of 15.5 (11th percentile). She has really grown taller these last couple of years.

Emily celebrated her 12th birthday today. She wanted no party or anything like that. All she wanted was donuts for breakfast, her own ramen noodles pack for lunch, lay around all afternoon watching tv, and then complete the day with Mexican food, Slurpee's, and creek stomping. She is growing into such a wonderful young lady.

Emily did great at her violin performance today. It has been amazing to watch her growth this year. It was her first year playing and she loved it.

Emily did amazing at her chilly run this morning. Emily came in a close 2nd for the girls in the 3k. Everyone had so much fun and little siblings enjoyed cheering on the runners.

Emily finished her first season of middle school track. We learned that track meets are long and exhausting. Emily gave it her all and we are so proud of her.

Emily ran at her first middle school track meet yesterday. I am so proud of all of the hard work she has put in. Very few 6th graders were chosen to attend the meet.
