Emerson had a wonderful doctor's appointment today. He now weighs 10lbs 13.8oz!! A huge jump from the little 6lbs 11oz he was born at 5 weeks ago.
December 25, 2012
Emerson's first Christmas was wonderful. On the 22nd, we had Baker Family Christmas at Uncle Mike's house. Then on the 24th, we had Charboneau Family Christmas at Mamaw's house. Christmas Day was spent at home with just our little family.

Emerson is a very happy, healthy, easy-going baby. He eats, sleeps, and fills diapers like a champ. He is about 9 lbs already, so he's starting to chunk up.
December 4, 2012
Follow up with the doctor shows that Emerson is doing great and his bilirubin is in a normal range. He is also really putting on weight. One week after birth he weighs 6lbs 15.4 oz.

Emerson's bilirubin count was 11.3 this morning and he has been doing great, so we were sent home.
December 1, 2012
Emerson is back in the hospital with a high bilirubin count of 19.4. He had to go under the lights for phototherapy.
November 30, 2012
Emerson had his first doctor appointment today. His bilirubin is high so we had to go in for another blood draw at the hospital. Not fun!

Emerson went to the hospital today for his 48 hour post birth blood draw. He was so brave.
November 28, 2012
We were released from the hospital at 4:40 pm today. We are ready to get home and relax.
November 27, 2012
Emerson David Baker was born on November 27 at 12:36 am weighing 6 lbs 11 ounces and 20.5 inches long. After spending the night in the NICU he was released to the regular nursery. Mommy was overjoyed.
