November 27, 2021
Emerson had a great 9th birthday today. Started the morning with donuts, Chick-fil-A for lunch, and a fun bowling party with friends. He is turning into an amazing compassionate young man and I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for him.

Today Emerson’s class made balloons to mimic the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade. The kids worked super hard and had a lot of fun. Next, they get to parade them around the school.

Wrapped up Blaze running club this week. Tuesday Emerson ran a 5k with a time of 25:04. On Thursday they got their awards for total miles ran this season. Emerson ran 42.7 miles. So proud of them!

Emerson had a great time in his class play today of Charlotte’s Web. He was one of the narrators. We are so grateful to have a little bit of normalcy back with getting to see his school play.

Dropped the boys off for an overnight at church camp with Connection Pointe Christian Church. They are bunk mates and going to have a great time. I had to remind them many times to be kind to one another. Can’t wait to hear about everything.

The boys had a great time at camp. Emerson was already asking if he can go back next year. He was a big help keeping track of Elias and the leader was really impressed with his maturity. They got to hike, swim, see a water show, play on water slides, worship, play ga ga ball, crafts, rock wall climbing, and went out on a boat.

The boys had a great time at cross country camp this week that the high school team put on. Emerson came in first for his age group. Elias loves others cheering for him.

Tonight was our intrasquad Blaze meet of the season. Emerson got a slight PR and set a Blaze record with a time of 7:02 and came in 1st place for the boys 1 mile. So proud of all the kids!!

Emerson turned 8 today! It has been amazing watching him grow. He started the day with donuts and gifts. Then lunch at Rush and a trip to The Tie Dye Lab. He finished the day with cake and building K’Nex, Lego, and Snap Circuits. He is constantly learning and growing, and I can’t wait to see what this next year holds as he continues to change into a wonderful young man.
