Emily travels to Miami, Florida to visit with family. She met her great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and others for the first time. Emily learned that ocean water is very salty. She likes the pool better.

Emily went to the Indiana State Fair for the first time. She did really good, despite all of the walking, eating, people, and the marching band that kept following us around.

Emily was baptized today at John Knox Presbyterian Church. The service was absolutely packed and we had to keep bringing in more chairs... that has never happened before. Emily is starting to realize that she has a very big family.

Another visit to the doctor. Emily now weighs 11 lbs 9.5 oz and has a height of 23 inches. Emily got another shot and yes... she cried. She's beginning to strongly dislike the doctor.

July 14, 2005
Today was the second trip to the doctor. She now weighs 10 lbs 11.5 oz. Emily got two shots and cried louder than ever. Poor baby!

Emily experiences fireworks for the first time. We watched an extremely up-close fireworks show with Grandma and Grandpa Baker, Uncle Mike, Aunt Jamie, and Cousin Camryn.

Emily swam in a pool for the first time at her Uncle Dale's house. She really likes it because it is like a bath and she feels very buoyant.

Emily went to the doctor for her first visit. She gained some weight and is now 7 pounds 14.5 ounces. Yep... she likes to eat.

Emily comes home for the first time. Today was actually her due date. She weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces.

Emily Sophia Baker was born on May 26, 2005 at 5:39 PM. She weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.
