My heart is sad with school starting on Thursday. It has not been the easiest summer trying to balance the needs of a 1 and 2 year old and the wants of a 7 and 10 year old, but I love having all of my kiddos at home. I have some crazy and fun kiddos!! Wouldn't trade them for anything. (Also an amazing hubby.)

Had a great time at the Hendricks County Fair today. Emerson is in love with tractors or any large machine and everyone loved the animals. We had to head home sooner than the girls would have liked because the boy got so tired.

It is amazing how much my definition of romance has changed over the years. We started dating 20 years ago and married 13 years ago. I used to think a nice dinner and flowers was romance. At this season in my life romance is cleaning up vomit in the middle of the night and not waking me up (we have experienced that multiple times in the last couple of weeks). Happy anniversary!!

We said "goodbye" to the Guinea pigs today. DeAnne found someone who wanted them through Craig's list and they picked them up today. Farewell Ben and Timothy.

The girls were given $10 each by Pastor Frank to use as their talents and multiply. We were busy this weekend making cookies. They sold them at church today and made a grand total of $121.24!! We have an amazing church. They will turn this money back in to the church in January and do something positive for a mission with it.

We had a musical breakfast with Santa this morning at the middle school. Lots of crafts and games for the kids. Emo really loved the drums. All the kids did great with Santa.

A very cold and bitter Halloween we had this year. The kids were frozen after just a few houses. DeAnne came back home with Elias and David went on with the older three. They stayed out for about an hour until the wind and rain was too much to handle and they came home very cold.

Great weekend at Camp Pyoca. We saw frogs, went out on canoes and paddle boats, hiked, and enjoyed worship. We even had an extra... cousin Maggie joined us.
