My big man is 6 years old today! He loves waking up early, Legos, running, playing basketball, Hot Wheels, video games, tormenting his sisters, playing with his brother, and pizza. It is so hard to believe 6 years have gone by.

Emerson had an amazing 6th birthday party yesterday. He was surrounded by friends and family that came to make his day special. We played pin the star on the ninja, pass the farting pig, Saran Wrap ball game, and shot the ninjas off the half wall. Add to that snacks and cupcakes and he was one happy little boy. Today he has loved building his new LEGO sets.

Had a fun night yesterday at the Kindergarten Eric Carle event at school. Emerson played a game, read a book, had a snack, acted out The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and saw his teachers perform a play.

Kindergarten back-to-school night for Emerson. I am not sure I am ready for him to go! When did he grow up so much!!

This big guy lost his first tooth today at his grandparents 60th anniversary celebration. He is pretty pumped. I can’t believe he is already losing teeth... he hasn’t even started Kindergarten.

Emerson finished his fifth soccer season and has grown so much. His favorite part is to race the players to the other end and block them. He likes being the fastest. He enjoys scoring, but running is definitely his favorite.

Emerson had his preschool graduation today. Emo did so well. Emerson has learned so much this year as he recited all of the books of the Bible (Old and New Testament), sang songs, and recited some pretty long bible verses. A couple more days of preschool left and then we are kindergarten bound.

Kindergarten testing complete and apparently he is “very ready” for kindergarten. Not sure I am ready at all. You would think already doing this twice I would be ready, but not at all.

The boys did wonderful last night at their preschool program. Emerson showed off what he learned about Zacchaeus.

First soccer games of the season were both done in pouring rain. Both boys had a lot of fun. Emerson treated every run down the field as a race. He couldn't care less that a ball was involved, but he wanted to outrun everyone else.
