Emo sang his little heart out tonight at his school program. I can't believe how much he has grown up in the last year.

Emo had his first soccer game today and man was it cold. There was even snow covering some of the lines.

It has been an exhausting day here. Emo had a procedure done at the Urologist Monday and cried a lot for a couple of days. Today at preschool he was kicked in the eye and got 2 corneal abrasions. Not the best week for this guy. Poor guy!! He is still in pain from Monday.

Emerson went in for his 3 year well check today. He is 39.75 in tall (93rd %), 34 lbs 3.2 oz (75th %), with a BMI of 15.2 (23rd %). He is a perfectly healthy tall guy. He did receive a referral to urology to have his abnormal urine stream looked at; besides that, he is a completely normal 3 year old.

Emerson turned 3 today!! He was super excited about his store-bought Spiderman cake (I normally make their cakes at home). He loved spending the evening with Grandparents and cousins. He is one rotten little guy, but I wouldn't trade him for the world.

Emerson filled up his "pee on the potty" chart and earned a trip to Chuck E. Cheese's.

Emerson came home from preschool very proud that he stayed dry all day at preschool. We started potty training about 2 weeks ago and we have made great progress. We are still working on the poop end of things, but we have plenty of gifts wrapped up as poop bribe. I had no clue how much harder a hose made potty training. I have been peed on a lot just because we forget to point it down. My bathroom smells like a truck stop. I applaud all of the moms of boys.

Today we started potty training. I can't say the first day was a success, but every day we are getting a little better.

Emo had a great first day of school today. This is his second year of preschool at Discovery Days. He loves school!

Emerson is starting to potty train. Teaching him to sit up straight and not slouch has been difficult. DeAnne explained how pee goes everywhere if you don't sit right. At that moment he grabs his wee wee, points it at DeAnne, and says "I shoot you!" Potty training a boy is very different.
