We met Emily's Kindergarten teacher tonight. Emily is so excited and can't wait for school to start. Mommy is not feeling the same excitement.

Emily had a wonderful time at Zionsville Presbyterian's VBS this week. She can't wait until next year.

Emily is a very funny little girl. While we were shopping at a thrift store. I pointed out a very ugly shirt... long-sleeve button-up butterfly collar, ugly pattern... and asked Emily if I should buy it. She said, "No... that shirt is for a Mexican." She had the same comment about another shirt. We were cracking up!

Emily went to the doctor today for her 5 year check up. She is doing great. She did have to get 4 shots. No tears and watched the nurses do them. What a brave girl.

We celebrated Emily's 5th birthday today with family and friends. We had nachos with all the fix'ns (at Emily's request) and it was delicious. Lots of water play in the backyard... sprinkler, water slide, and two small pools. The bounce house was fun as usual. Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate. She is one lucky little girl to have such great people surrounding her in her life.

Emily had a wonderful birthday in Disney World. We had a very special lunch with 5 princesses – Belle, Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, and Princess Aurora.

Emily will never forget her time in Disney World. She loved meeting all the characters and riding all the rides. She says her favorite ride was Pirates of the Caribbean, which we rode twice. David took Emily on a big water slide and that got her crying afterwards… it was just too high and fast I guess. Emily loved the Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor where she learned a new joke… “How do you get a tissue to dance? Just put a little boogie in it.” Ha!

Emily graduated from pre-school. It was a wonderful program and ceremony. Speedway Cooperative Preschool is the best! Afterwards, we went to Qdoba for lunch and played at Monkey Joe's (bounce place).
