Helped Emily register for her high school classes. Seems like just yesterday it was her first day of preschool (9/5/2007). Where did my cheeky little girl go?!?

Emily played with her Chamber Orchestra today at the ISSMA and received high gold.

Orchestra has kept us very busy this week. Emily had an orchestra performance on Monday. Then on Friday and Sunday she had the opportunity to play with the Hendricks County Symphony Orchestra with her chamber orchestra group. Add in the practice schedule and it has been very busy and fun. I love watching her play and grow.

Invitational rained out this morning. They lined the kids up, got ready to start, and then the thunder and lightning. Lots of screaming and running cross country middle schoolers. It was humorous to hear that in the distance. We then all had a 10-minute walk in the pouring rain to the van. This will be something Emily will always remember. She was not happy taking a photo before the run and now I am glad it was taken because that was all we got today.

Emily ran her first invitational of the season. She made middle school varsity, but she wasn’t very happy with her time. She thought she could have done better. It was a very muddy slick run. She had her little sidekick Elias to cheer her on. He yells “go Emi go!!!”

And so it begins... Emily got her braces put on today. She is thinking about getting contacts now because she said, “you can only be so nerdy and glasses and braces might put me over.”

Emily went in for her 13 year well check. She is doing great. She is 60 inches tall (24th percentile), 83 lbs (14th percentile), with a BMI of 16.2 (13th percentile). She has grown 2.25 inches this year.
