Back from our trip to Tennessee. The first part we spent at a ranch in Dunlap. We got to experience life on the farm. Morning chores started nice and early with cleaning the stalls and feeding the animals. We also milked the cow and gathered the eggs. Then it was breakfast and back to work separating the milk from the cream and making cheese. The older 3 also took horseback riding lessons. Lots of animal visits and enjoying walking around the area.

Happy New Year!! We had a crazy fun time with some family last night. The girls made some memorable videos and sang until Emily lost her voice. We toasted in the new year at about 8:30 PM and kicked out 2020 a little early because DeAnne likes sleep. David and the girls stayed up, but the boys and DeAnne were fast asleep at midnight.

A very merry Christmas from the Baker’s. My kids are extremely spoiled. We got to have a special visitor this week -- Gypsy (David’s niece-dog).

Connection Pointe did an amazing Christmas service last night. It was raining so we rode the golf cart to the door. The girls said they felt like royalty. We had an entire balcony section to ourselves so when the boys made noise, we didn’t have to worry about them disturbing anyone else. In these dark times it is great to remember that Jesus is the light of the world.

We did it!!! We made it through the first semester of school with no quarantines. They started school July 30th and have had in person school the entire time. I am so grateful for all of the teachers, bus drivers, and administrators that made it possible. The boys' bus driver was even dressed as Mrs. Claus when she picked the boys up yesterday. So fun!!

We had a great Thanksgiving! The girls helped out so much with making the meal this year. They learned when all else fails, add more butter. Emily and DeAnne got a walk to Eagle Creek in while the turkey was cooking. We also squeezed in some family visits and got to play and love on their dogs.

Finally talked David into putting up the outside lights. I love Christmas decorations!! We all pitched in and got most of it done this evening. Now time to decide what new inflatable we need to add this year.
