Halloween started with a 5K run for David, Emily, and Emerson. They all had a great time and a fun run. Emily finished first out of our family with a time of 23:41 (came in 2nd place for females), Emerson finished next with a time of 26:19 (finished 28th out of 145) and David finished with a time of 27:24 (finished 36 out of 145). PR for Emerson!! Then they went out trick-or-treating! We had Elias the creeper, Emerson the x-wing starfighter, Emily as Harry Potter, and Ean the foot.

Great trip to the property in Paoli. The kids were always looking for creatures of any kind. They found some frogs, a turtle, a little lizard, caterpillars, and fish. The deer and rabbits could hear the loudness of the kids and would run (smart animals). They pretty much ate the entire time we were there. They enjoyed exploring the creek beds and everyone but Elias enjoyed a long hike through the property. Dale even had some time to get some mowing done while we were there. No trip would be complete without a stop at The Superburger.

The Blaze season came to an end last night. Emerson and Elias ran a 3K this week (time of 14:22 Emo and 21:24 Elias). We are so proud of them. They received their end of season medals for total miles ran this 8 weeks yesterday. Elias ran 31.25 miles and Emerson ran 54.25 miles earning Emerson the highest distance runner for the younger kid group. Emily and Elise also made a best friend this season that they loved talking to and running with as junior coaches.

The boys had their team meet last night. Emerson placed 1st (time of 7:18) and Elias placed 7th (time of 9:29) in the one-mile run. They both had a great time and have shown a lot of growth this season. The girls had a great time helping out and playing around in the woods. Coach David was grateful to get through another meet without needing a defibrillator.

We took a little vacation to Wisconsin. It was great to get away for a little bit. We stayed at a hotel that had an indoor and outdoor water park. It was beautiful weather, so we were able to enjoy it every day. There was also an amusement park/arcade that the kids loved. We also enjoyed a morning at the zoo where the kids got to feed a lot of animals. The kids loved it!
