Emerson came home from preschool very proud that he stayed dry all day at preschool. We started potty training about 2 weeks ago and we have made great progress. We are still working on the poop end of things, but we have plenty of gifts wrapped up as poop bribe. I had no clue how much harder a hose made potty training. I have been peed on a lot just because we forget to point it down. My bathroom smells like a truck stop. I applaud all of the moms of boys.

Today we started potty training. I can't say the first day was a success, but every day we are getting a little better.

Emo had a great first day of school today. This is his second year of preschool at Discovery Days. He loves school!

Emerson is starting to potty train. Teaching him to sit up straight and not slouch has been difficult. DeAnne explained how pee goes everywhere if you don't sit right. At that moment he grabs his wee wee, points it at DeAnne, and says "I shoot you!" Potty training a boy is very different.

Caught Emerson having a huge fit in the hallway because he could not "eat the wall". Oh to be two!

Emerson went to his first movie in the theater today... Minions. And... DeAnne will not be taking Emerson to the movies again for awhile. He wanted to repeat everything the minions said, he decided to lay on the floor and eat everything he could find off of the ground, then he ran around, and finally he flung himself backwards on the stairs and hit his head. Oh the joy!!

DeAnne farted and Emerson said, "Good one Mom!" DeAnne began laughing hard, so Emerson assumed she didn't understand what he said. He then explained, "No mom... your fart... it was a good one."

Emo had a great 2 1/2 year well check a couple of days ago. He is 38.65 inches (96th percentile) and 32 lbs 10 oz (78th percentile). Very healthy little man.

Emerson had an amazing first year of preschool. When I explained to him that he was all done having Miss Tina as a teacher he said "I sad". It is hard growing up buddy.

No more pacifiers! Emerson slept last night with no pacifiers for the first time. They are all broken and he put them in the hamper.
