March 17, 2020
Day 2 of homeschooling! Still not a fan. 4 kids different ages needing the one home computer at different points can be difficult to juggle. I also learned 7th grade math is hard!! We did sprinkle in a leprechaun trap making session and somehow the leprechaun came and left candy and played a few tricks. Emily has been able to keep up her running and got in 7 miles today. Now for cookie baking fun.

First day of homeschooling 4 kids. Not what I planned or wanted, but God is definitely teaching me flexibility and that He is in control.

Watching church at home today as a family in our pajamas. Including Elias dancing it out, communion (cinnamon raisin bread, goldfish, and white grape peach juice), and even sitting calmly for a bit.

Fun week at the Baker house. Started the week with Emily having an orchestra performance. Then Emerson had his 1st grade music program. Finally we finished the week celebrating Maggie’s (their cousin) 13th birthday.

Donut breakfast at school Friday morning and Lowe’s Build-and-Grow workshop this morning with the boys.

Fun day today! David and I got to volunteer at the elementary school glow run. Both boys had a lot of fun running laps at the glow run. We took a little break from the run to go to the middle school and see Elise play her cello. She did great!

Happy New Year! We had a fun family night eating pizza, building cookie/candy houses, playing games, dancing, and toasting in the new year with sparkling grape juice.

Cookie baking at my mom’s house yesterday. We all decided to wear our Christmas sweaters we got from my mom. After baking we went to worship service at church. The kids then tried their hand at making the manger scene kit from church. Nailed it!!

Time is flying by. Saturday, we had musical breakfast with Santa at the middle school. This year was different because Elise was working a spot with art club and Emily performed with a small group from orchestra. This year Elias asked for hot wheels and Emo asked for a skateboard. Fun was had by all!
