November 8, 2019
Donut breakfast at school with the crazy guys. Elias didn’t want to go to school today. He said he already went this week and was done with school.

Halloween started by Emily running with her cross country team in costume. The girls went with friends trick or treating and the boys went with David. They all had a wonderful time on this very cold evening.

We had a fun weekend carving pumpkins and going to a trunk or treat at Chapel Hill church. Elias was not a fan of pumpkin guts. Emily carved her pumpkin to look like her hamster. They loved the trick or treating and petting many of the dogs that were there. Their favorite treat was the flying key that were special for just the wizards.

We took a small little get away a few days this week to Great Wolf Lodge. The kids had a great time. They all loved the water park and going on quests with the magical wand. Elias loved eating in bed. It was fun to get away for just a bit.

First week of Fall Break complete. It is full of daily running for Emily with cross country, a trip to Urban Air, a trip to Wonder Lab, working at my Mom’s house to paint and fix up a room, haunted house at the museum, and Emily getting a new pet hamster named Pickles.
October 11, 2019
Final night of the 2019 Fall Blaze season. Elias ran 23.5 miles this season and received a silver medal. Emerson ran 70 miles this season and received a gold medal. He also earned the high mile trophy for the Kg-3rd grade group for running the most in that age group. Elise and Emily were junior coaches and David helped coach this season. Everyone had a great time, and now the countdown starts for the Spring season.

What a stanky hot run tonight at Blaze. We did a time trial and Emerson was super fast (2nd place)! Elias did awesome as well and gave out lots of high fives.

Another season of Brownsburg Blaze junior running club has begun. Emerson is a pro. This is Eli’s first time and Elise is his helper. Emily is helping again and David is one of the coaches.

I have been dreading this day for months. There is a lot of change today in the Baker house. Emily is a freshman, Elise started middle school (6th grader), Emerson went to first grade, and Elias started kindergarten. A lot of growing up for one mom heart to take. My house is so quiet and still right now. I know I will get used to it, but right now it is crazy. I have been at school helping already with getting kids off the bus and to the right place and will be back to help with lunch, but I already miss them.
