July 13, 2019
We enjoyed a full week in Michigan last week. We spent time at the beach both Holland and Grand Haven, mini golf, we visited the Dutch Village, shopping in the towns, and Lewis Farms with a wonderful petting zoo. Just to keep things interesting the brakes went out in the van, so we also got to visit a repair shop. Memories were definitely made this week.

We had a great exhausting time at Holiday World. Emerson loves to ride bigger water rides and hang with the girls. Elias is not at all a daredevil. He did love the unlimited drinks. It was just great to get a little time away together.

The boys had a great time this week at Cross Country camp. Emily was a helper coach because she runs with the high school cross country team. Emerson finished first for his age group (kg-2nd grade) in the run. Elias liked running, waving, and everyone cheering for him.

Emily and David had a great time at the Running of the Bulldogs 5K race today. Emily’s time was 28:40.47 (7th place in her category) and David's was 29:03.75 (9th place in his category).

Excited that we started our Blaze running club season this week. Elise and Emerson are runners and David is a coach.
April 9, 2019
Spring break 2019 is complete. The kids are back to school for the final stretch until summer. We enjoyed lots of park time, many track practices, my nephew Andrew marring the love of his life, laying to rest my sisters-in-law Lori after a long battle with polycystic kidneys, Children’s Museum fun, Chuck E Cheese, and Zoo ‘Opolis. Now onto spring sports!!

Final day of basketball and cheer for Elias, Emerson, and Elise. David finished his first season of coaching pre-k/kindergarten basketball. Emerson understands the game pretty well. Elias more wants to be a mascot than a basketball player. The kids on his team were very sweet passing the ball to Elias today to try and get him to score.

A great Valentine’s Day party at the kids school today. Elise had her last classroom party, but I still have a lot more years being room parent with the boys.

Emerson and Elias had their first basketball game of this season (second year for Emerson; first for Elias). David is the coach. Elise has started her second season of cheerleading.
